CBSE announced date sheet for first term of class 10 and 12 board exams

The Board will ensure that students aren’t required to travel far from their school of choice.

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will begin its first term-board examination on major subjects of students of Class 12 from December 1 through 22. For students in the Class 10 class, The major subject exams will begin on November 30 and continue until December 11.

In a format shift triggered by the uncertainty surrounding the COVID-19 issue, CBSE divided the 2021-22 academic term by two periods with 50 percent of the syllabus covered during each time, with board exams scheduled at the conclusion every word. The first examination of the term will last 90 minutes that will be a multiple-choice test only.

In consideration of the safety of students throughout the pandemic and to decrease their travel time as much as possible, many schools will be designated as self-centers. Students take their exams in their school, CBSE Controller of Examinations Sanyam Bhardwaj told reporters following the datasheet being published. For the rest of the students in other schools, the CBSE will ensure that they’re not required to travel far away from their school. External examiners will be placed in all centers to ensure that each exam runs “safely, fairly and without any untoward incidents,” He added.

These are the arrangements being implemented about 19 subjects major in class 12 and nine main subjects in Class 10, which are taught by the large majority of the schools. In the case of 95 subject areas available in Class 12 and the 66 minor subjects to students in Class 10, the schools will administer examinations. However, the questions will be supplied from the school board. The date sheets are distributed directly to schools. Minor subject tests will start on November 16 for Classes 12 and November 17 for Class 10.

This is the first of the board exams conducted by the CBSE in the months since March 2020, in which schools were closed because of the first onset of COVID-19. Exams were ended midway through the program. 2020-21 were completely aborted due to the 2nd round of the pandemic and results announced from the previous examinations and internal tests.

If there are no interruptions due to the pandemic outbreak, a second-term board exam will be held between March and April 2022. The exam will be a three-hour-long subjective and objective test. Scores from the two exams will determine scores for the final exam. Assessment marks for internal assessments are being uploaded in real-time on each student’s profile, which CBSE manages so that they may be utilized if required.
