WB Rupashree Prakalpa Scheme 2022

West Bengal Government is now inviting the WB Rupashree Prakalpa Yojana Application Form for the marriageable girls. All those girls who are above 18 years of age and are about to get married can get one time financial assistance of Rs 25,000 at the time of marriage. WB Govt has released the application forms and any teenager can download the Rupashree Prakalpa Application Form PDF to get the benefits. This scheme will help the poor families who borrow huge amount on interest for the marriage of daughters and thus are forced to live in depression. The scheme is helping around 6 lakh girls belonging to economically weaker families with a total outlay of Rs 1500 crores.

West Bengal Rupashree Project Scheme implemented

In West Bengal Rupashree Prakalpa Yojana, all the girls are getting Rs 25,000 as one time assistance at the time of their marriage after attaining the age of 18 years. West Bengal State Government is directly transferring this amount to the bank account of girls so that they can use this money on their own. After the Kanyashree, Yuvashree and Sabuj Sathi schemes of the Government of West Bengal, a major initiative of the Government of West Bengal is the WB Rupashree Prakalpa Yojana. All those girls whose family’s annual income from all sources is less than Rs 1.5 lakh can avail this marriage assistance. For this purpose, every applicant can apply for Rupashree Scheme.

Where to submit WB Rupashree Prakalpa Registration Form

Submission of application form, verification of supporting documents and registration of the same will be done by the Block, Sub-Divisional or Municipal Corporation office under which he/she has residence. The proposed WB Rupashree Prakashan application form should be submitted not less than 30 days and not earlier than 60 days from the date of proposed marriage.

Each application will be assigned to an Inquiry Officer, who will conduct a field verification and submit an inquiry report. The Sanctioning Officer (BDO/SDO/Commissioner) will approve all applications that have been successfully verified, and reject those that have a negative report or are ineligible. The applicant whose application is rejected shall be informed of such rejection. The Drawing and Disbursing Officer will transfer the sanctioned grant to the beneficiary’s bank account. Eligibility Criteria for WB Rupashree Prakalpa Yojana

Any woman who proposes to get married can apply in this scheme if her application fulfills the following criteria:-

• She has attained the age of 18 years and is unmarried as on the date of submission of her application.
• The proposed marriage is his first marriage.
• She was born in West Bengal or she is a resident of West Bengal for the last 5 years or her parents are permanent residents of West Bengal.
• His family income does not exceed Rs 1.50 lakh per annum.
• Her future groom has attained the age of 21 years.
• He has an active bank account for which he is the sole account holder. The bank account should be in a bank that has an IFSC code and a MICR code and has a transaction period irrespective of NEFT.

Objectives of Rupashree Project Scheme

The primary objectives and goals of Rupashree scheme are as follows:-

• To ensure that girls stay in schools and delay their marriages until at least 18 years of age.
• Inspire girls to complete secondary or senior secondary education or equivalent in technical streams.
• Support for better fairness in the economic and social spheres.
• Reducing the risk of early pregnancy, child and maternal mortality and health conditions.
• Financial inclusion and empowerment of adolescent girls.

List of Documents Required for Rupashree Scheme

Since the application process is offline, candidates should attach the following documents along with the completed WB Rupashree Prakashan Yojana Application Form:-

• Proof of applicant’s age: Self-attested photo-copy of any one of the following: Birth Certificate / Voter ID Card / PAN Card / Medium Admit Card / Aadhar Card / Primary School Leaving Certificate.
• Never-married Status: Self-declaration on the application form.
• Family Income: Self-declaration attested by the competent authority.
• Proof of Residence: Self-declaration attested by a competent authority.
• Bank Account: Self-attested photo-copy of the page of the bank book which gives complete details like name of account holder, account number, bank address, IFSC code and other details.
• Proof of Proposed Marriage: Any one of the following: Marriage Registration Card / Information for Marriage Registration.
• Proof of Age of Prospective Groom: Photocopy of any one of the following: Birth Certificate / Voter ID / PAN Card / Medium Card / Aadhar Card / Primary School Leaving Certificate (attested by the prospective husband).
• Recent Photographs: Color passport size photographs of the applicant and the prospective groom

After attaching the documents, submit the filled application form to the BDO, SDO or Municipality office. All the concerned officials will verify the given information and then pass the application. All selected / passed applications will be entitled to get Rupashree assistance directly in their bank accounts before 1 week of marriage.

Benefits of Rupashree Prakalpa Yojana in West Bengal

The complete roll-out of WB Sarkari Rupashree Prakalpa Yojana has been decided, which has the following benefits:

• Rupshree scheme will reduce child marriage.
• This scheme will reduce the burden of marriage expenses of the parents of the girl child by giving one time assistance for the marriage of their daughters.
• All the schemes like Kanyashree, Rupashree will increase the education rate of the girl child.

Rupashree Scheme – Conditional Cash Transfer

This WB Sarkari Yojana will transform the lives of children and adolescents through conditional cash transfer mechanism which includes 2 components:-

• Annual Incentive – Government is providing annual incentive of 1000/- (earlier Rs 750) to girls in the age group of 13 to 18 years in various schools. However, the pre-condition is that the girls are unmarried at that time.
• One Time Grant – Second is that the government will provide a one time grant of 25000/- at the time of their marriage. The pre-condition is that the family income of the girls from all sources should not exceed Rs.1.5 lakh.

WB government will bear the wedding expenses of the daughters of poor families who have to borrow money at high interest rate for the wedding expenses. Thus this scheme will give relief to poor families and reduce their financial burden.
