WB Krishak Bandhu Scheme 2022

West Bengal Krishak Bandhu Yojana online registration and login process for farmers has started on the official website matirkatha.net. Under WB Krishak Bandhu Yojana, there are 2 components – Sum Assured and Death Benefit. Farmers can fill WB Krishak Bandhu Yojana online registration form and apply online to avail assured income scheme and death benefits.

Under this WB Krishak Bandhu Yojana, the government will provide Rs 5000 per acre to the farmers in installments equal to 2 thousand per acre. The West Bengal government will also provide a compensation of Rs 2 lakh on the death of farmers. Under Krishak Bandhu Yojana, the first installment is to be given in the month of June for Kharif crops and the second installment in the month of November.

The death benefit scheme was effective from 1st January 2019 and farmers can now apply online for WB Krishak Bandhu Yojana by filling the online registration form.

Krishak Bandhu Digital Smart Card

Government. In West Bengal, DOA has provided a unique insurance support for all farmers and farm families of West Bengal under a single benefit scheme named Krishak Bandhu. It is a single digital card based identification of all farmers of West Bengal. Direct benefits include:-

• 5000/- per annum (Rabi and Kharif season) to farmers having one or more acres of land with minimum 2000/- p.a. on pro rata basis.
• Under the Death Benefit Scheme, a lump sum of 2 lakhs will be given to the farm family. The individual authenticated DoA specified database of the farmer stored in Krishak Bandhu cloud is digitally captured, analyzed and digitally verified by DoA officials with L&LR database synchronization.

This system verifies the verified data shared by the DOA with the state and district co-operative banks for direct benefit disbursement. Farmers will be given individual Krishak Bandhu Digital Smart Card to authenticate the beneficiaries for all government assistance in future.

WB Krishak Bandhu Yojana – Assured Income and Death Benefit

There are 2 components under West Bengal Krishak Bandhu Yojana which are described below:-

• Insured Income – The state government has provided an assured financial assistance to all the farmers and farmers’ families under the Single Benefit Scheme. It is a single digital card based identification for all farmers of West Bengal. The direct benefits of this scheme include 2 more components:-

1. 5000 for both Rabi and Kharif seasons to farmers having 1 or more acres of land, first installment in the month of June and second installment in the month of November will be provided.
2. Also, farmers will be given a minimum assistance of Rs 2000 per year on pro-rata basis.

• Death Benefit Under this death benefit scheme, families of farmers will get the facility of a lump sum amount of Rs 2 lakh including suicide. All those farmers whose age is between 18 to 60 years can avail the new insurance policy. The death benefit scheme is effective from 1 January 2019.

The personally authenticated DoA specified database of farmers is digitally captured and stored in Krishak Bandhu cloud. This data is analyzed and digitally verified by DoA officials in sync with the L&LR database.

This system-verified data will be shared by DoA with State and District Co-operative Banks for direct benefit disbursement. Apart from this, the state government will also provide individual Krishak Bandhu Digital Smart Cards to the farmers to authenticate the beneficiaries for all other assistance in future.
