These days computer education is very necessary for everyone. If you have got computer training then your chances of getting a job doubles. But not everyone in rural areas has access to computer training. For this purpose, the Government of Uttar Pradesh has started an initiative of O level computer course for backward castes. Under this program, selected applicants will receive formal training in basic computer operation. They will get a certificate for having done O-level basic training in computers.

The Backward Classes Welfare Department of the State Government has decided to provide free computer training to the educated unemployed people of the state. To participate in this scheme, it is necessary for the applicant to have passed at least intermediate. Under this scheme, the educated unemployed people of the backward classes who are living below the poverty line will be provided benefits.

Salient Features of the Scheme

• Empowering the youth of UP The implementation of this scheme will help the UP state government to reach out to deserving candidates and provide them with computer literacy. This will not only enhance the education system but also increase the scope of opportunity for the candidates.
• Basic Computer Coaching – As per the guidelines of the scheme, the UP state will provide computer training to the selected candidates. They will receive training to master the “O” level of basic computer coaching.
• Free Coaching for Candidates – It will be the responsibility of the UP government to provide proper computer training to eligible candidates without any fee. It will help the poor and backward class candidates.
• Duration of the course – As per the draft plan, the O-level training for the selected candidates will last for one year only. They will get training to operate computers.
• Certificates will be given – After the completion of this computer training, each candidate will also receive a certificate. This will help them in securing a good job.
• State Contribution It is not a mean task to train so many candidates. The state government will provide Rs. 1000 for each candidate so that they get this basic O-level training.
• Money to be transferred to the account – The state will refund the admission fee to the bank account of each candidate. Once the candidate gets the admission receipt from the Computer Coaching Centre, the state will transfer the funds.
• Areas under its coverage – At present, computer training institutes have been opened in 102-gram panchayat areas. More training centers will be opened soon.
• People providing training Those people who want to join Pradhan Mantri Gram Saksharta Assignment will get the necessary training from CSC institutes. Each Panchayat will get 250 trained persons.
• TRAINING BY DOEACC – DOEACC is the main department that provides computer training in government institutions. The UP government has also given the responsibility of conducting this program to DOEACC.

 

Eligibility for Free O Level Computer Training Scheme

To take advantage of the free O level computer training scheme, it is necessary to have the following eligibility:-

• To take advantage of this scheme, the age of the person should not be more than 35 years.
• The applicant must be at least Intermediate.
• The benefit of this scheme will be provided only to the educated unemployed youths of backward classes who are living below the poverty line.
• Only the unemployed can take benefit from this scheme.
• They should not be receiving scholarships from any other educational institution.
• The annual income of the individual should not exceed Rs.1 lakh.

You have to follow the following steps to apply for UP Free O Level Computer Training:-

• First of all you have to visit the official website of the Backward Classes Welfare Department. http://backwardwelfareup.gov.in/ or http://obccomputertraining.upsdc.gov.in/ will go on.
• After this the applicant will get an application form.
• Fill all the required information asked in the form.
• Now all the necessary documents will have to be attached and submitted to the District Backward Classes Welfare Department.
