Madhya Pradesh government has started a new government scheme for the meritorious girl students of the BPL category living in the urban areas of the state. The name of this government scheme is the Pratibha Kiran Scholarship Scheme, under which the Madhya Pradesh government will provide financial assistance in the form of scholarships to the girl child of an urban family living below the poverty line. The objective of this scheme is to provide financial assistance to the talented girls of urban areas to encourage them to pursue higher education. The scholarship will be given at the rate of Rs.500 per month for 10 months to the girl students who have passed class 12th every year from each city. The assistance of up to Rs 5000 will be provided to the girl student every year.

The objective of the Madhya Pradesh Pratibha Kiran Scholarship Scheme is to provide financial assistance to the talented girls of urban areas to encourage them to pursue higher education.
