Prime Minister Scholarship Scheme PM Scholarship Scheme 2022 Online Application Form

Recently PM Scholarship Scheme has been started by the Government of India. This scheme has been started for the children of the families of Ex-Servicemen and Ex-Coast Guard of India. Earlier this scheme was started in 2016 but due to some reasons this scheme had to be discontinued. But now again this scheme has been started in a new way. Under this scheme, financial assistance is provided by the government to the students. Interested students can register online for Pradhan Mantri Scholarship Scheme. Under this scheme, the government provides monthly assistance to deserving students.

Amount to be provided under PM Scholarship Scheme

The monthly amount given under this scheme is as follows:-

• 2250 – 3000 per month for girls
• Rs 2000 – 2500 per month for boys

A total of 5500 wards are selected for a scholarship in each academic year. The scholarship is divided equally between boys and girls i.e. 2750 each. The scholarship is paid for a period of one to five years as per the duration of the courses approved by the respective regulatory bodies. The scholarship amount is paid annually to the selected students.

Eligibility for PM Scholarship Scheme

To take advantage of this scheme, it is necessary to have the following eligibility:-

• The applicant must be a citizen of India.
• Students who are dependent wards of ex-servicemen and ex-coast guard personnel.
• Applicant should have passed 12th or Diploma.
• It is mandatory to have 60% or more marks in the 12th or Diploma.
• Applicant age should be 18 to 25 years.
• Students who have taken admission in 1st year (except for Lateral Entry and Integrated Course) are only eligible to apply for PMSS.

PM Scholarship Plan documents required for

• Ex-Serviceman / Ex-Coast Guard Certificate duly filled and signed by ZSB / Coast Guard Headquarters
• Bonafide certificate duly filled in and signed by the Vice-Chancellor / Principal / Vice-Principal / Dean / Associate Dean / Registrar / Deputy Registrar / Director / Deputy Director of the Institute / College
• Certificate from your bank that linked the student’s Aadhar card with his bank account number
• Matriculation certificate to confirm the date of birth.
• A minimum educational qualification certificate is applicable. (10+2 Mark sheet / Graduation (3-year mark sheet) / Diploma (all semester mark sheet)
• The first page of the bank passbook should clearly indicate the name and number of the student and the IFS code of the bank

• Now you have to register yourself. For this click on the Register button.

• Now the form will open in front of you. Fill all the information asked in it carefully.

• After that click on submit button.

The Scheme is managed by the Kendriya Sainik Board (KSB). As such, the students can know more about the eligibility criteria, courses covered, priority categories and can also apply online by clicking ‘PMSS’ on the horizontal menu bar of the KSB website http://ksb.gov.in/
