Atal Kisan Mazdoor Canteen Scheme has been started by the Haryana Government and its scope is continuously increasing in the state. In this scheme, the state government will provide food to poor farmers, workers for Rs.10. This Atal Kisan Mazdoor Canteen Scheme is running in 5 mandis since February 2020. Now this scheme has been started in 6 other districts.

In the Atal Kisan Mazdoor Canteen Yojana, the state government will provide food to the farmers and laborers for just Rs.10. At present this scheme is going on in 6 districts, the state government has planned to open this canteen at a total of 25 places.

Here are the important features and features of Atal Kisan Mazdoor Canteen Yojana:-
- The state government provides food to the poor people for just Rs.10.
- Atal Kisan Mazdoor Canteens are currently running in 6 districts of Haryana State as mentioned above.
- In each canteen, the food is checked for nutritional value and cleanliness.
- The major beneficiaries of this scheme are poor farmers and laborers (unorganized sector workers).
- CCTVs have been installed in every canteen to monitor its implementation.
- According to agriculture officials, goods worth about Rs 6 lakh are being made available at Atal Kisan Mazdoor Canteen.
- Daily food is being provided to 300 people from each canteen.
- Tawa roti, rice, dal fry, seasonal vegetables, portable drinking water are being provided to the people in the canteen.
- Atal Kisan Mazdoor Canteen consists of Gas Burner, Chimney, Deep Freezer. Water cooler and other accessories are included.
In addition to the currently functional canteens, new Atal Kisan Mazdoor canteens will be opened in other grain markets of the state. A plan is being made to open Atal Kisan Mazdoor Canteens in 25 districts of the state. Whereas in the first phase in February 2020, these canteens have been opened in Karnal, Panchkula, Bhiwani, Fatehabad and Nuh. The basic consignment is being provided by the HSMB, while the consignment is also provided by a bank. The special thing is that these canteens are run by Self Help Groups (SHGs).
