WB Snehaloy Housing Scheme 2022
The Government of West Bengal has announced a new Snelloy Housing Scheme for the poor people. In this scheme, the West Bengal state government will provide financial assistance of Rs 1.20 lakh to build new houses. WB Snehloy Awas Yojana is for those economically backward people who are not eligible for Bangla Awas Yojana, the current housing scheme of the state government. The entire amount of assistance in the West Bengal Snehloy Awas Sahayata Yojana will be borne by the state government. There are 25,000 people belonging to the Economically Weaker Section (EWS) category who do not have their own house. He had called up the Chief Minister’s Grievance Cell and demanded a house to live in as he was not entitled to the Bangla Awas Yojana. Hence, the Mamata Banerjee-led state government has decided to launch the Snehloy Housing Scheme in West Bengal. People can then apply for the new housing scheme online and get assistance to build a new house.

West Bengal Snehloy Awas Yojana Application / Registration Process
Like other housing schemes, the Government of West Bengal will start the Snelloy Housing Scheme online registration process. Snehloy application form can be invited through any mode i.e. online or offline. Government of West Bengal may invite WB Snehloy Housing Scheme apply online form through official state government website or a new dedicated portal. We will update it here as soon as the official online/offline process details come out. In this scheme people will have to submit the filled Snehloy Housing Scheme application form online or in designated offices.
How will assistance be provided?
The amount of assistance will be directly transferred to the bank accounts of the people. This will be done through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) mode. EWS category people can then use this amount for construction of their new houses.

Eligibility for Snehloy Awas Yojana
The basic eligibility criteria for Snelloy Housing Scheme is that the applicant should belong to the economically weaker section of the society and should not already have a house anywhere in the state. The detailed eligibility criteria for New Housing Scheme in West Bengal is not available yet. However, it will be available as soon as the official portal for the scheme is launched and application starts.
Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee (Didi) handed over checks and certificates to a large number of people to mark the official launch of the scheme. This Snehloy Awas Yojana has been launched for the state wide civic elections to be held next month. These elections are the semi-finals of the state assembly elections to be held in 2021.
