The Bihar government has started the Chief Minister Minority Employment Loan Scheme for the minorities. Under this scheme, the government provides loans to the people of the minority community. Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Kumar Modi has also decided to increase the fund of 25 crores to 100 crores under the Minority Loan Scheme so that loans can be given to minorities youth for employment. A loan of 5 lakhs is being given by the Bihar government to the youth to start their employment. Under this scheme, 5 communities of minority (Muslim, Bodh, Sikh, Christian, Parsi) persons will be given loan to run employment.

Loan can be taken in low interest under Minority Loan Scheme. Minorities will benefit the most from the provision of 10% reservation made by the Central and State Governments for the economically weaker sections for enrollment in government jobs and educational institutions.

Eligibility for Bihar Chief Minister Minority Employment Loan Scheme
To apply for the Chief Minister’s Minority Employment Loan Scheme, it is necessary to have the following eligibility which is as follows:-
- Applicant’s age should be between 18 to 50 years.
- The person should be a resident of Bihar state.
- He wants to open his self employment.
- Self-employment will have to be started in the state of Bihar with the amount received under this scheme.
- The applicant must be unemployed.
- The applicant should not be working in any post in the Central, State Government or Semi-Government Organization.
- The person should be from minority community.
- The annual income of the family should not exceed 4 lakhs.

Terms and Conditions of Bihar Chief Minister Minority Employment Loan Scheme
The Chief Minister Minority Welfare Department, Bihar has put some conditions before providing the loan, which are as follows:-
- Under this scheme 5% interest will have to be paid on the amount calculated quarterly.
- No interest will be charged on the loan for a period of 3 months from the date of receipt of the loan.
- If the candidate pays the loan amount on time, then he will be provided 5% concession in the interest rate by the government.
- Under the scheme the candidate has to pay his loan in 20 equal quarterly installments. This scheme will provide benefits to unemployed persons by direct benefit transfer in their bank.
