To brighten the future of youth, Kaushal Satrang Yojana will be started in Jal Hi State. Under this, the Vocational Education and Skill Development Department will not only make the youth skilled by launching seven schemes but will also provide maximum employment. UP Skill Development Mission has prepared the action plan of the scheme. In the first scheme, the self-employment schemes currently being run by various departments under CM Yuva Hub will be operated in a coordinated integrated manner under one umbrella. The National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme is currently in force under the second component CM Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme. Under which 25% of the honorarium to be paid to each apprentice or Rs 1500, whichever is less, is reimbursed by the Central Government to the concerned employer establishment.

The third component is the District Skill Development Scheme, which presents the roadmap for changes in the planning strategy by the State Government. Two lakh rupees have been provided to each district for the plan to be prepared on the basis of analysis in each district. Under the fourth component Kaushal Pakhwada, the registration of youth willing to get skill training will also be done. An MoU has been signed between IIT Kanpur and the state government to train the youth of the state to participate in the world and national skill competitions according to international standards. The state government has also signed an MoU with IIM, Lucknow.

Director of UP Skill Development Mission, Kunal Silku said that under Kaushal Satrang, every district in the state will have its own skill development plan. The experts will prepare the plan keeping in view the need of the district. Training programs will be run according to which areas have more employment opportunities in the district.
Through this scheme, Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) will be started in UP. Under this, the skills of 2.37 lakh untrained youth associated with traditional industries will be recognized. They will get special training. They will be given employment along with giving certificates.

There will be a contract between the Department of Training and Employment and the Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur to provide training for skill development. Under this, three youths in 15 trades will be trained by IIT experts for the National Skill Competition and further for the World Skill Competition 2021. Also, prepare digital content for Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs). Under the Kaushal Satrang scheme, now five professional placement agencies will provide employment in various sectors. Experts will conduct awareness campaigns to find the hidden talents within the youth and to train them for skill development. Its plan has been prepared at the Tehsil level.

UP Yuva Hub Scheme

The Uttar Pradesh government has also started the Yuva Udyog Vikas Abhiyan or YUVA Hub Scheme. In the Yuva Hub scheme, the government will establish Yuva Hub in each of the districts of the state to make the youth self-reliant. Unemployed youth will be able to get a suitable job according to their qualification. UP Yuva Hub scheme will provide employment to lakhs of trained youth in the state. A Yuva Hub will be established in each district of the state.

An amount of Rs 50 crore is proposed for setting up YUVA Hub in each district and a target has been set to train 2 lakh youth in various training programs of UP Skill Development Mission. Last month, Rs 1,200 crore was allocated to the Yuva Hub scheme in the UP Budget 2020-2021. It aims to provide employment to thousands of skilled youth by assisting in project conception and financial assistance for one year of operation. Mukhyamantri Yuva Hub Yojana will facilitate the setting up of 30,000 startups in the state.

UP Chief Minister Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme (CMAPS)

The UP state government has made a provision of Rs 100 crore for the Chief Minister Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme (CMAPS). This UP Government Internship Scheme will provide on-job training to the youth of the state. In this scheme, unemployed people will not only get training but will also get a stipend of Rs 2500 per month.

Out of the total amount of stipend, Central Government Rs. 1500, State Government Rs. 1,000 and the remaining amount has to be borne by the concerned industry. All unemployed candidates will get this training in MSME units and Govt. Will combine them with fixed-term employment.
