Ama Clinic Yojana & Anmol Yojana
Odisha government has launched Anmol Yojana and Ama Clinic Scheme for better health care services in the state. Ama Clinics will provide several additional health care facilities in urban areas while the Anmol scheme is to provide tablet computers to Auxiliary Nurse Midwives (ANMs). Thereafter, these 2 schemes will provide the latest and better health services to the poor and needy people. Also, Odisha Govt. Started implementing these schemes on 1st January 2018 (New Year).

Under the Ama Clinic scheme, the state government will provide services like specialized counselling in obstetrics and gynaecology, paediatrics, medicines, etc. to benefit about 45 lakh people in urban areas. Anmol Scheme will provide Anmol Tablets to ANMs to equip them with the latest tools for monitoring real-time services to the patients.
Apart from this, the state government has also launched 2 other health care schemes – Nidan Yojana for free diagnosis in public health facilities and Sahya Yojana for free dialysis services in government hospitals.

The important features and details of this health plan are as follows:-
- This clinic scheme is to ensure the availability of better health care services to economically backward people in the urban areas in the state.
- Thereafter, the primary objective of the scheme is to reduce the number of deaths due to inadequate health care services.
- Apart from this, the scheme will also reduce the Infant Mortality Rate (IMR) and Maternal Mortality Rate (MMR) across the state.
- Accordingly, the state government started this program on New Year’s Eve (January 1) of the year 2018.
- From now on, this scheme will benefit about 45 lakh people in 27 cities of urban areas.
- The Odisha government will provide various services under this scheme, the list of which is given below.

Anmol Yojana
Anmol Application is being implemented in 17 districts in the first phase. This will help in real-time tracking and real-time service provision to the beneficiaries in the long run and bring better health care services to all registered pregnant women, mothers and newborns in the state.
Salient Features of Anmol Yojana in Odisha
The important features and salient features of this scheme are as follows:-
- This scheme is exclusively for Auxiliary Nurse Midwives (ANM).
- Accordingly, the ANM will receive free of cost priceless tablet computers.
- From now on, the scheme is to encourage and raise the level of ANMs for the proper discharge of their duties.
- Using these latest tools, they can provide and monitor real-time services.
- In addition, they can use these tablet computers to provide better treatment to patients, especially women and children.
Features of the diagnostic plan
Under this scheme, citizens will get access to free diagnostic services in various public health facilities. Thereafter, patients can avail of many free tests like high-end pathology tests, digital X-rays, CT scans and MRIs. Patients were getting these services in PPP mode.
Features of the Sahay Scheme
The government of Odisha is committed to ensuring better health care facilities for the patients. For this reason the State Govt. Sahay scheme is launched to provide free dialysis treatment to the people in public health facilities. Under this scheme, the state government has provided 127 dialysis machines in PPP mode in headquarters hospitals of 25 districts in addition to 1 at the Community Health Center.
Odisha government has launched these 4 health care programs to reduce the number of deaths in the state due to the non-availability of proper healthcare services. All poor and economically weaker sections people can avail these services. In addition, these schemes will bring down the IMR and MMR in the state.
